Scouts

Scouts is for young people aged 11 to 15 years.  Scouts develop advanced outdoor skills in a fun, inclusive, and adventurous environment that is youth-led and supported by adults.

The Scouts section offers a wide variety of activities that teach life skills that encourage them to be social, active and take on new challenges. Scouts are:

  • Experiencing big changes and exploring their sense of self
  •  Building and focusing on peer networks
  • Transitioning from primary school to high school
  • Finding new ways to express themselves
  • Exploring and shaping their personal identity
  • Taking on greater responsibilities for themselves and others

The Scouts section helps young people grow in confidence and understand the importance of teamwork. They gain essential outdoor safety skills and engage in a wide range of physical, mental, and adventurous activities/challenges.

1st Alcheringa Scouts meet on a Thursday night from 7 pm – 9 pm.
