Scout Uniform
The Scout Uniform: A Symbol of Unity and Belonging
Scouting is a uniformed movement and wearing a uniform help create a sense of equality by removing visible differences, making it easier for Scouts to connect and make friends. Our uniform is like those worn by Scouts around the world, including the scarf (neckerchief) and World Scout badge, showing that we’re part of a global movement. In Australia, Scouts wear their uniform to activities, with each Group having its own unique scarf.
The uniform is also a great way to show what you’ve achieved. Scouts can earn badges and woggles to recognise their efforts and wear them with pride, although not every achievement needs a badge to be celebrated.
All the shirts are navy blue, with a different coloured shoulder panel for each section.

Joey Scouts – tan Cub Scouts - yellow Scouts – green.
Youth members must wear fully enclosed shoes to all activities, whether indoors or outdoors. For safety reasons, crocs, thongs, and ballet flats are not permitted.
A Group scarf, woggle, and investiture badges will be presented to each youth member when they are invested into the Group. Uniform shirts and other items can be purchased from the Scout Shop.
